FAQs

  • Paint protection film is a multi-layer polyurethane film engineered to absorb impact and prevent damage to your vehicle’s painted surfaces. Modern PPF features self-healing properties, UV resistance, and high optical clarity. It’s designed to protect against rock chips, scratches, bug splatter, bird droppings, salt, and other environmental contaminants; all without altering the look of your paint.

  • No. PPF quality varies by brand, thickness, adhesive, and topcoat technology. We use high-end films with self-healing, stain-resistant top layers and long term durability. Cheaper films can yellow, peel, or crack over time.

  • Professionally installed, high-quality PPF typically lasts 7 to 10 years depending on exposure and maintenance. It’s backed by a manufacturer warranty when installed correctly. We offer a 10 year warranty on our film.

  • We don’t just lay film over your paint, we the extra steps to make it look as invisible and seamless as possible. That means wrapping edges where possible, tucking into panel gaps, and removing parts like emblems, lights, handles, and trim when needed. The result is a cleaner look and longer-lasting protection.

  • Yes. We offer full-body wraps, partial coverage (like full front or track packages), and custom applications. Full-body wraps provide seamless protection, especially for vehicles with soft or high maintenance paint finishes.

  • Not at all. Gloss PPF is optically clear and enhances your factory finish. We also offer stealth (matte) PPF if you want to convert your gloss paint or protect your matte finish.

  • Yes. And we recommend it. Ceramic coating enhances hydrophobic performance, reduces the need for frequent washes, and makes it easier to remove water spots and debris from your PPF film.

  • Yes. PPF is removable and should not damage your paint when removed properly. It’s ideal for leased vehicles or future resale since it preserves the original finish underneath. Waivers ARE required before any work is done and the client should disclose if the underlying paint has been done by a third party or has been previously damaged.

  • For best results, we recommend hand washing or touch-less washes. Avoid automatic car washes with brushes, as they can cause wear over time. Use pH-neutral soaps with clean soft microfiber towels or wash mitts. Foam cannons are great for loosening dirt before contact. While light swirl marks can happen, most surface-level marks will self-heal with heat, either from the sun or warm water.

Wait at least 72 hours before washing after installation to let the film fully settle. Avoid full-strength harsh chemicals or solvents, but diluted degreasers are safe for occasional use on heavily soiled areas (just rinse thoroughly). Between washes, detail sprays designed for coated or PPF surfaces help maintain slickness and appearance.

Adding a ceramic coating over PPF makes cleaning even easier and enhances protection against water spots, dirt, and grime.

  • Ceramic coating creates a chemically bonded, semi-permanent layer of protection on your paint or PPF. It increases gloss, repels water, resists UV damage, and reduces the the likelihood of contaminants embedding into the surfaces. It doesn’t protect against rock chips or scratches, but it complements PPF perfectly.

  • Our ceramic coatings stands up to regular use and washing for up to 2 years, depending on maintenance habits. Coatings can be given an annual booster to maintain peak hyrophobic performance.

  • Yes, we coat paint directly when PPF isn’t installed. We also prep with a light polish or complete paint correction for best bonding.

  • We use ceramic window film, which blocks more heat and UV rays than dyed or metallic films, without interfering with electronics of GPS. Ceramic tint also reduces glare and enhances interior comfort.

  • Michigan allows front windshield tint down to 4 inches below the top with non-reflective film. Rear side and rear windows face no restrictions. Front side windows must allow more than 35% of light to pass through. Of course, if you have a medical condition, you would be exempt from these criteria.

  • Yes. We can match rear factory privacy glass for front doors and other panels.

  • Those black dots, called the “dot matrix”, are raised ceramic or enamel patterns baked into the glass. Because they aren’t flat, window tint can’t bond to them as smoothly as it does to regular glass, often creating a hazy, silvery, or uneven appearance in those areas. This is completely normal and seen even in high-ed installs. We take extra steps to minimize this effect as much as possible, but due to the nature of the glass, a perfectly smooth look over dot matrix areas may not always be achievable.

  • Detailing focuses on cleaning and preserving your vehicle. Paint correction goes further by polishing the surface to remove swirls, oxidation, and light scratches (not through the clear coat). We offer both one-step (gloss enhancement) and multi-stage correction depending on paint condition and desired result.

  • Absolutely. We recommend correcting any paint imperfections before applying PPF or ceramic coating. PPF will lock in the finish beneath it, so we make sure your paint looks its best first.

  • Yes. We provide full exterior detailing packages. Complimentary interior details are conducted free of charge when clients purchase PPF or ceramic services. Carpet shampoo and rigorous interior details are not provided.
